HEIstorical Project Kick-Off Meeting Successfully Held in Brașov

Brașov, Romania – November 4th, 2025

The HEIstorical project officially commenced with a successful kick-off meeting hosted by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transilvania University of Brașov (UNITBV). The event brought together project partners, marking an important milestone in the launch of this collaborative initiative.

A total of 14 participants from 4 countries attended the meeting, creating a strong foundation for cooperation and alignment. The event was also recorded, and a short video presentation is also available on the project’s YouTube channel (HEIstorical – YouTube).


Meeting Overview

The kick-off meeting provided an opportunity for partners to align on objectives, clarify roles, and establish a shared vision for the project’s implementation. Discussions focused on governance, planning, and coordination mechanisms essential for effective project delivery.

A key highlight of the event was the open and constructive dialogue among partners, fostering collaboration and ensuring a common understanding of the project’s scope and expected outcomes.

  • 11:00 – Presentation of coordinating institution
  • 11:15 – Introduction to the project implementation plan
  • 12:00 – Coffee break
  • 12:15 – Budget distribution and payments
  • 14:30 – Appointment of the Quality Board
  • 15:00 – Lunch

Partner Introductions

During the session dedicated to partner presentations, representatives from each participating institution introduced themselves and provided an overview of their organizations, expertise, and expected contributions to the project.

This exchange allowed participants to better understand each partner’s strengths and identify opportunities for collaboration. It also facilitated relationship-building among team members, which will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Implementation Plan

The project implementation plan was presented by the coordinating institution and thoroughly discussed with all partners.

The session covered key aspects such as:

  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Communication and reporting mechanisms

Participants actively engaged in discussions, providing feedback and clarifications to ensure a shared understanding of the implementation strategy. This collaborative approach helped refine expectations and align all partners on the operational framework required for successful execution.


Quality Board Appointment

A significant outcome of the meeting was the establishment of the Project Quality Board, which will play a central role in ensuring the project’s success.

Purpose of the Quality Board

The Quality Board will:

  • Monitor the effectiveness of project implementation
  • Review project performance indicators
  • Propose and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives
